Are your mirrors real brass?
Yes — every DarMirror piece is made from solid brass, not brass-plated or coated metal. Some finishes are lacquered for shine retention, others are left unlacquered so a natural patina develops over time; the listing for each mirror specifies which.
Why does my mirror look slightly different from the photos?
Because each piece is shaped and finished by hand, small variations in texture, symmetry, or patina are normal — they're the signature of handmade work, not a manufacturing defect.
Will an unlacquered brass mirror tarnish?
Yes, and that's expected — unlacquered brass develops a warm patina with age and exposure to air, which many customers prefer for an antique look. If you'd rather keep a bright, polished look permanently, choose a lacquered listing instead.
Ordering & Custom Sizes
Can I order a custom size?
Yes — most designs are available in custom dimensions on request. Message us with the shape you'd like and your desired size before ordering, or note it at checkout, and we'll confirm feasibility and price before production begins.
Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?
You can cancel within 24 hours of ordering for a full refund. After that, your mirror has likely entered production.
Shipping & Delivery
Where do you ship from, and how long does it take?
Every mirror ships from our workshop in Morocco. Production takes 7–10 business days, plus 7–18 business days transit depending on destination.
Do you charge for shipping?
No — shipping is free worldwide on every order, standard or custom.
Will I owe customs fees?
Possibly, depending on your country's import rules — these are set by your local government and charged separately from checkout.
Returns & Damage
What if my mirror arrives broken?
Email us within 7 days of delivery with photos of the damage and packaging — we'll send a free replacement or full refund, no return shipment usually required.
Can I return a custom-size mirror if I just change my mind?
Custom sizes are made to order and final sale, since they can't be resold as standard stock. Standard, non-custom pieces can be returned within 30 days.
Care
How do I clean my brass mirror?
Dust with a soft, dry cloth; avoid glass cleaner or ammonia-based sprays directly on the brass frame.
Is it safe to hang my mirror in a bathroom?
Yes, though we recommend wiping down any condensation promptly, especially on unlacquered pieces, to keep patina development even rather than blotchy.
